The British Psychoanalytic Council
Psychoanalysis, analytical psychology, psychoanalytic psychotherapy and child psychotherapy are disciplines that have served the public for a very considerable period of time and together they comprise the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The establishment of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) in 1993 developed from the decision of the societies representing those disciplines to create an institution that links them formally.

Couple Psychotherapy Service
The Society of Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists (formerly the Society of Psychoanalytical Marital Psychotherapists)launched the first private service for psychoanalytic couple psychotherapy in Britain in 1997. The Couple Psychotherapy Service offers a confidential and secure way to locate a qualified and experienced couple therapist in the UK.

Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships
The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships (formerly The Tavistock Marital Studies Institute) was founded in 1948 and aims to improve the quality of adult couple relationships, prevent family breakdown and enhance the lives of children.

Society of Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists
The Society of Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists (formerly the Society of Psychoanalytical Marital Psychotherapists) was founded as the professional organisation for those trained in marital psychotherapy at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships (formerly the Tavistock Marital Studies Institute). The Institute is acknowledged, nationally and internationally, as the leading authority on the psycho-analytical understanding of the couple relationship, with a history of over 50 years of research and training. The Couple Psychotherapy Service aims to bring the fruits of those years of training and research to a wider public.

Blues Project at the Centre for Attachment-based Psychonalaytic Psychotherapy
Operates a referral system where an experienced psychotherapist interviews and assesses with the client and the client's therapeutic needs. The client is then referred to a suitable psychotherapist.
