Institutional appointments and professional activities


	In addition to his private practice, Brett works as the Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Psychotherapy and Mental Health at the Centre for Child Mental Health in London, and as the Winnicott Clinic Senior Research Fellow in Psychotherapy at the Winnicott Clinic of Psychotherapy, in London. He also holds an appointment as Visiting Clinician and Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychology. Brett has served on numerous professional committees, and currently holds the following appointments:
		- Director of Couples Centre Stage - Member of the Executive Committee of the Society of Couple Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists - Patron of The Squiggle Foundation - Adviser to the Winnicott Clinic of Psychotherapy - Founding Trustee and Director of the Institute of Psychotherapy and Disability - Series Editor of the Karnac Books Forensic Psychotherapy Monograph Series - Consultant in Psychology and Psychohistory and a Training Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and member of the Teaching Staff, at the Centre for Attachment-Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, the John Bowlby Centre (London) - Patron of Skylark: Counselling and Psychotherapy for People Affected by Disability, a charity dedicated to the mental health needs of the physically disabled. - Clinical Supervisor at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education - Clinical and Academic Adviser to Confer, the mental health conference bureau.
