The Sexual Fantasy Project

Brett continues to investigate the psychology of sexual fantasies, examining particularly their origins and functions. The TV programme based on the first stage of his research, Britain's Sexual Fantasies, was first broadcast on five in the UK on 5th September 2005. Donald Winnicott

Brett's biography of Donald Winnicott won the 1997 Gradiva Award for Biography. He has also published books on Forensic Psychotherapy and Psychopathology: Winnicottian Perspectives, and on The Legacy of Winnicott: Essays on Infant and Child Mental Health. The life and work of Donald Winnicott continues to be one of Brett's main areas of research. He is the Winnicott Clinic Senior Research Fellow in Psychotherapy at the Winnicott Clinic of Psychotherapy, in London, and a Patron of The Squiggle Foundation.
